The location of Kiku & Co among the rice fields is very pleasant and the interior is modern and minimalist.
It’s one of the more affordable spaces in Bali, probably because it’s in Denpasar, and if you want a private office, this is the place to rent one.

Closed Coworking Spaces In Bali
Dojo Bali Coworking
Dojo coworking was something of a local institution as it led the trend for co-working spaces here in Bali.
Sadly, it closed its doors for the last time in December 2022.
The co-working space still has a live website which makes it look like it’s open, but if you look carefully at the blue strip at the top of the screen, it explains it’s simply being kept live for posterity.
Rumah Sanur
Many say that Ruman Sanur was the first creative hub in Indonesia. Sadly, that wasn’t enough to keep this place open and it closed a year ago.
Again, for some reason, their website remains live but the coworking space is closed all the same.
Hubud
Hubud was one of Ubud’s earliest coworking spaces and sadly, it disappeared at the start of the pandemic.
There was an intention to revive the space in the future, according to their Facebook page, but it’s 2024 as we go to press and no announcements have been made.

How Much Is Coworking Space In Bali?
It depends on the area, the coworking space itself and the facilities that you use.
However, you can spend as little as $3 a day on coworking in Bali and as much as $20.
The most expensive areas for coworking spaces in Bali include Ubud, Seminyak and Kuta.
The cheapest tend to be a bit more off-the-beaten-path with Denpasar and Sanur offering exceptional value for money.
You will get a better deal if you can commit to more than a single day and you will find many places offer discounts for 1, 2, 3, 6 and 12-month memberships.
Just remember that if you commit to a long-term contract with a co-working space, it’s usually not transferable, which means that if you leave Bali, there is no refund and you can’t sell the membership on to someone else to recover your costs.
Is Bali Good For Remote Work?
Yes and no. If you’re looking for remote work, Bali is a bad place to look, most of the remote workers in Bali are either employees of bigger businesses or early-stage entrepreneurs of some kind which means they often have no work or, if they do, they have no budget to hire.
It’s also worth noting that you cannot legally conduct remote work of any kind in Bali without a work permit.
Having said that, it’s impossible to ignore the huge numbers of digital nomads that have decided to make Bali their base and we don’t believe for an instant that they’ve all got work permits.
